We are going where?

Burkwood is hosting us this Monday. For those of you who are new to the team, this means that we are headed north into Hanover County. You can find the directions on the "Swim Meet" section of the website. Click on "Burkwood" & then "driving directions. The entire trip will probably take 30 mins so please plan accordingly. ". ( I recommend that you drag the route on the Yahoo maps to use either 295 or 64E to 95N rather than Parham Rd).
Burkwood is a larger team but it has 8 lanes and they usually run a fast meet. They provide us with bleacher seating, usually on the far side of the pool. It can be a squeeze but at least we get a good view of the meet. The Clerk of Course will be at the start end of the pool. Don't forget to bring extra towels and sweatshirts as it can get cool.
I know I don't need to say this to our swimmers but after last week I would like to remind everyone that they need to be respectful of the host club & their facilities. Leave Burkwood talking about our results in the pool, not our behavior out if it.
In addition, Burkwood has forwarded the following information:
We are looking forward to the swim meet on Monday. Your warm ups will begin at 6 pm with the meet beginning at 6:30 pm. Please let your families know that parking is limited so carpooling would be greatly appreciated, and following the direction of the parking attendants is crucial.
We will have Chick Fil A sandwiches on sale beginning around 5:45 pm in the Clubhouse that overlooks the pool area. There will also be a combo plate with either chips or pasta as the side, and a drink. We always have a small bake sale as well. Burkwood regular concessions will be open as well until about 8 pm.
Last week we had a new Avalon Record set in the Midget Mixed Relay by Wiloughby Clark, Colin Whiting, Matthew Whelan & Sydney Whiting - congratulations to everyone! I know that we will have more outstanding swims this week.
