: This Week & Weekend

Two full weeks of practice are in the books and we are now preparing for our first meet.

This season we will be using an entry process for swim meets to respond Yes or No to attending each meet. Sign on at http://avalongators.swim-team.us/ and click Swim Meets, then click RSVP, and add YES or NO. The comments box is your chance to inform the coaches if you will be arriving late or needing to leave early. They will enter swimmers into events based on any comments received.  If you do not RSVP on the website, the swimmer will not be entered in the meet. You can RSVP for all meets now to complete in one easy step.

Every meet will also have a theme. Our first meet's theme is blue/green Avalon pride! Deck yourself out in anything and everything you have that is green or blue, including wigs, sunglasses, nail polish, the list goes on and please be creative.

Lori will be away from practice this week while she is completing requirements to achieve her license to practice counseling in Virginia. The assistant coaches will be excited to see everyone at practice! Any immediate questions please ask Maggie before or after practices. The schedule changes include a second round of Fun Friday Big Fish/Little Fish.
Friday: Mites 3:30-4:15pm, Midgets 4:15-5:00pm and 11&older anytime between 3:30-5:00pm.

Avalon will also have a Saturday practice for Mites, Midgets, Juniors, Intermediate and Seniors 8:00-9:30am. This is to be a "mock meet" to get ready for Sunday's competition and a time for parents to come and ask questions to other parents about the team, swim meets, or anything else. We will have a starter, timers, and a mocked up Clerk of Course so new swimmers get an idea of what to expect and for the experienced swimmers to understand what the new coaching staff expects.  We hope to see everyone bright and early Saturday morning.  Thank you, Fred

We are swimming against Southampton this Sunday at 4p, and the meet info will be sent out by Wednesday if not earlier.
