Below is a message from the host team with information about Southampton:
Parking: Unfortunately parking is difficult. A small number of spaces are available at the pool parking lot. Additional parking is located nearby at the baseball field and Southampton Elementary school on Prairie Street. Please honor all “No Parking” signs. Parking is only allowed on one side of the street in the neighborhood and towing by the City is enforced. A “No Parking’” sign on one side of the street means NO PARKING on that side of the street for the entire length of the street.
Seating: Our visitors Avalon will sit in the area on the short side of the pool next to the tennis courts. You can access this area over the steps/balcony just left of the pool gate. The seating area is a grassy, tiered area. Recommend blankets and chairs.
Competition Pool Area: Only swimmers and meet workers are allowed in the fence around the upper pool. This area will get very congested if spectators wander down to the pool area. Parents are not allowed to accompany children to the clerk of course benches or to the blocks. Swimmers called to the Clerk of Course will report to the area in front of the baby pools and in front of the restrooms. There will be a table set up in the spectator area for your children to pick up their cards from your volunteers.
Food: Our snack bar offers many delicious food items for dinner and snacks.
Safety: Once the meet starts, swimmers and their siblings are not allowed in the lower pool, on the slide, on the tennis courts, or on the playground

What to Bring: Swim suit, cap, goggles, *Sharpies*, bug spray, water, snacks, cheering voices and BLUE/GREEN AVALON stuff!

Please welcome Chris Borysewicz who will be joining our coaching staff to add even more expertise to Avalon! Chris swam for East Carolina University specializing in butterfly, after a pre-college career swimming with Poseidon as a National Qualifier. Please introduce yourself to Chris at the pool if you do not know him yet.

Calling all social butterflies! With school ending soon, Avalon Gators will be starting social events for the swimmers outside of practice. If you would like to be on the social planning team, please E-mail Lori!
