Welcome and Thank you for the first 3 weeks
Good evening,
First, on behalf of the new Avalon coaching staff, we want to welcome everyone to another great season of summer swim team. We have been very thankful from day one with the incredible and warm welcome we received as the new coaching staff. We have really enjoyed the past three weeks getting to know all the swimmers; all of your great kids, from mini-mites to seniors. We are a few days from completing the first three weeks of the season leading into our first swim meet against Walton Park, and we are excited with the progress all of the swimmers are making since the first day of practice. I won't lie and say it has been easy trying to remember all 193 swimmers names and especially all 66 mites. That first week was a little overwhelming plus having a team with so many sets of twins has made it that much more challenging but just like any coach(s) we welcome any challenge. Second, I know it hasn't been easy for all you parents to find the time to get to know us or talk to us, as practices can get kind of chaotic at times. I know it takes trust from all of you in trusting us with all of your kids; so thank you for believing in us and trusting us. Also, I am sure it has been a challenge for some of you getting use to the practice schedules with schools still being in session so thank you for doing your best to get your child or children to the right practice on time. And finally, please know we are striving to make this a fun and great season. We look forward to getting to know all 193 kids and families. Please don't hesitate to let us know ANYTHING as we are here to help and support each and everyone one of your kids.
Thank you,
Jason Blake
