First, Thank you......
......to those that signed up, and showed up to volunteer. A special thank you to Taylor Turner and Michelle Lewis and additional appreciation and thanks to Jordan Cryer, Doug Couvillon, Amanda Belding, Angie Fischi and Annette Doll. I know I've left someone off, and it's only because more stepped up without being asked. Thank you very much to all who did.
We can do better. First, I will be sure to communicate well in advance so that everyone knows who is doing what prior to anyone's first cup of coffee Monday morning! I was on vacation last week and arrived late last night, so I relied upon what was already signed up for and hoped everyone would show up. Second, if everyone will RSVP now, or after Jason requests we can seed the meet on time. Jason will print multiple copies for our Mite Mothers and everyone else to know what they are swimming. While it is posted in breezeway, I realize we needed to have had copies printed upon everyone's arrival. Lastly, at least for now and so I can get this out before midnight when you RSVP and plans change it must be communicated to the coaches. And, we had multiple relays cancel because many left the meet too early. This is unfair to so many people, both swimmers and parents alike that I am not sure it is completely understood. No one is that thoughtless, so I can only attribute it to not realizing your child was on a relay, or not understanding the importance to those who are sticking around for the relays. Plus, relays are the most fun events of the meet so why would anyone miss them if their child is swimming. Jason, Ashton, and Caroline will have more to add soon. Hope everyone makes practice, and our next away meet before we come back home to Avalon. Good Night. Fred
