Good afternoon Avalon Swim Team Families,

It has been a great first week. Monday it was great to see all the kids back out and in the pool again for another fun summer of swim team. We had a great first day showing with close to all the mini-mites being there and well over 60 mites in attendance, and great numbers of midgets and 11 and older. Great to see some new faces to the team and great to meet all the new parents of the mini mites and older kids. Thank you all for coming out and we look forward to a great season again this summer with an even stronger coaching staff.

Today's practice is still on however the forecast doesn't look great for it clearing up anytime soon.  I know it is cold and rainy and it is definitely up to your discretion if you want to attend. I know Coach Caroline and Coach Taryn will be there today. We do practice if it is raining but our circumstances depend on pool management and lifeguards as well. So if the rain is coming down to hard then they may not want us in the water. Please just use your best judgement today. There are plenty of practices over the next 2.5 months. Don't worry about it. If you have any questions or concerns you can always call Avalon prior to driving to the pool just to make sure that is isn't thundering or lightening.
