I want to give a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Matthew Whelen and his family. I just found out this evening that Matthew broke his own ARA intermediate record in the 100m free with a time of 57.10 in last week's meet at Southampton.

Matthew also broke the JRAC record for intermediate 50 fly in the Three Chopt meet with a time of 27.05. The previous record was held by Thomas Ferguson from Southampton 7/23/09 with a time of 27.37.

Congratulations Matthew! Your parents, your Coaches, your friends and your Avalon Team are so proud of you! We know you aren't done.
