Swim Team Banquet details

    We have had a fantastic response to our Swim Team Banquet and Fiesta coming up this Sunday night from 6-8 PM! We wanted to pass along some important information along to everyone so we can make this event a fun and safe one for everyone.

    The pool will remain open to the general membership while we are having our banquet. We will section off an area close to the lower pool (where the swim team practices) to set up our food. We currently have a large number of responses for the banquet (270) so everyone is encouraged to spread out around the entire Avalon facility (sit at any available table and the grassy areas both inside and outside the gates are fair game for seating). Please consider bringing the camping chairs that you bring with you to swim meets in case we need additional seating. 

    Our timeline for the evening is to have a taco dinner served at 6 PM with the medals and awards presented directly afterwards. All pools will be open for everyone to swim from 7-8 PM following the awards ceremony. The pool does close at 8 PM that evening. Please be courteous of all members at the pool that evening.

    To respond to several parents who have asked about gifts for the coaches. The swim team will be presenting all of our coaches with gifts to thank them for all of their hard work this season. We have decided to use a portion of our fundraising funds to cover these gifts this year.

    Last but not least, we still need a few volunteers to help at the banquet on Sunday. You can sign up on the Avalon Gators site by clicking on the volunteer icon. The cost per family is $15. Please make a check payable to Avalon and give it to Amanda or Jenifer at the pool this week. We will also accept checks the night of the banquet.
