Information on Ridgetop meet 7/18
Please read this letter from the Ridgetop reps- it will give you helpful information about the events, parking, and food options. It will be a fun meet!
Welcome Avalon!
We all look forward to your visit this Monday, July 18th! Hopefully this visit will bring good weather. Your warm-up time is from 5:30-5:45 in our 6 lane, 25 meter pool. You will dive from the shallow end (4ft 6) which exceeds the minimum depth requirement, so the mite relays may dive as well. The mite events will begin in the deep end. We will have 5 parking spots for your reps and coaches reserved for you in our lot. Our parking area is somewhat small so your swimmers may be forced to park on Ridgetop Rd. which is adjacent to the pool. Our address is 901 Ridgetop Rd. directly behind the Village shopping center which is at the intersection of Three Chopt Rd. and Patterson Ave. The phone number is 285-3513.
It is probably a good idea to bring your own chairs as we are limited to the amount that we have. Generally, seating is first come, first serve, but usually, visiting teams take the lawn in front of the pavilion to the left of the pool as it is a better view and provides a bit more shade. Our restrooms are located beside the snack bar and Clerk of the Course will be in the baby pool area.
We are lucky to have Quizno's serving up some yummy sandwiches in the pavilion which are $4.50 not including chips and drinks. We will also have our snack bar open which offers many treats to energize the swimmers. In addition, we will be selling Chick-Fil-A sandwiches and nuggets. Please stop by our bake sale as well, which will have an assortment of snacks for the kids. We are welcoming KONA ICE at RT. They will be located just outside the front gate. We will also offer your (4) coaches complimentary meal vouchers.
We are also selling assorted rubber ducks during the swim meet. The more you purchase, the better your odds of winning one of two $50 cash prizes. The drawing is on July 30th and the winner will be notified.
Our pool weather policy is that if thunder is heard, the pool must be vacated in a timely fashion. Families need to wait in their cars for at least a half hour until further notified.
I think that sums it up. Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.
