Thank You and Debt of Gratitude

    Good morning,

I want to take this time to thank each and every swimmer, parent, present coach, past coach and all others with whom I have worked the past several summers. Words can't express how grateful and thankful I have been to be a part of the Avalon swim community the past three seasons. Like I mentioned Sunday evening at the banquet; I have accepted a full-time position with Premise Health managing the SunTrust Mortgage building fitness centers downtown. I begin August 15.

It is bitter sweet for me as this is a new beginning for me with a positive career move while at the same time I will miss coaching at Avalon. Three seasons ago everyone welcomed me with open arms and it has been better each summer. I know I will miss coaching and all that comes with it but I will miss the kids and families more than anything. I feel like I have been a part of each one of your families and I will miss each and every one of you. There is no better feeling than seeing a smile on a kids face after having a successful swim down the pool and that is priceless.

I wish everyone continued success and if there is a way for me to stay involved then I will because my passion for the sport and compassion for the swimmers is why I love coaching. I will keep in touch and I want everyone to reach out to me as well because I want to know how everyone is as I have grown so close to you all over the last three seasons. The kids deserve nothing but the best and I will do my part in helping recruit someone whom possesses all the qualities a head coach should have.

Again, words can't express how grateful and thankful I am to have been a part of this great community. Thank you to everyone whom congratulated me and approached me and wished me luck and success.

This is not good bye; it's just see you later.

Thank you all and I love you all,

    Coach Jason
