Announcing our Swim Team Coaching Staff for 2017!!

    Hello Avalon Gators!

Even though it is hard to believe while in the middle of this cold snap we will be diving into the summer swim season before we know it! So it is great pleasure and excitement that I get to announce our wonderful coaching staff for this year. We have a lot of great talent, energy, and swimming/coaching experience to share with you. Below you will find a little blurb about each assistant.

    Zoe Trenz, Assistant Coach

Zoe graduated from Trinity Episcopal School in 2016, where she was a Varsity swimmer all four years and a two year Varsity captain. While swimming for the Titans, she earned All League and All State recognition.  Zoe has continued her swimming career this year as a freshman at the University of North Florida where she competes as a freestyler/butterflyer/breaststroker. Zoe has previous coaching and lessons experience at St. Michael's School and Hermitage Country Club. Zoe has been a lifetime JRAC swimmer for Ridgetop Recreation Association.

    Cristina Muncy, Assistant Coach

We're excited to welcome Cristina back to her second year of coaching for Avalon. She has been a member of the Gator Swim Team for the past 10 summers. Cristina has swum for the Collegiate School Varsity Swim Team for the past 5 years where she specializes in sprint freestyle and butterfly. She also swam at NOVA Aquatics when she was younger. Cristina has participated in the Learn to Swim program at the Collegiate School Aquatic Center, where she helped teach second graders from around the area to swim. She was also the co-president for Open Swim through Collegiate, where students from Faison School for Autism learn to swim and get comfortable in the water. Christina will be graduating from Collegiate School this June.

    Willow Clark, Jr. Assistant Coach

Willow Clark will be going us this year as a first time coach, but is no stranger to the Avalon Gators. Willow has been swimming for Avalon since the age of 5, so this will be she eleventh season competing for the Gators, in addition to coaching. She is also a member of the NOVA Aquatics and Saint Gertrude High School Varsity Swim Teams. She will be a rising Junior at SGHS this summer. Willow has also recently started coaching for the Tuckahoe YMCA's Tiger Sharks Swim Team.

I hope you all will join me welcoming these three to the staff!
