Happy Spring Gators! Summer is just around the corner, and swim team registration is now open. To register go to www.avalongators.swim-team.us and click on the red Online Registration button. You will need to complete a separate online waiver for JRAC at www.jracsummerswim.org to be fully registered.

A quick reminder- please don't sign up for any volunteer slot that says "requires JRAC training" unless you are trained for that position. If you sign up for one and aren't a trained volunteer, we will have to move you to a different slot at our discretion.

We have a few changes and fun opportunities for swim team this season...

1. We really want to recruit some older swimmers to the team this season. We are offering a $10 gift card to Dairy Queen, Starbucks, or Chipotle (swimmer's choice) for every swimmer (6th grade and up) that is recruited. If your swimmer knows of anyone entering 6th grade or older who wants to try swimming or use swim team as a way to stay in shape for other sports this summer, have them register! Let us know who you have recruited and we will provide a gift card to one of the businesses mentioned. It is one gift card for every swimmer you recruit. Also it has to be someone who did not swim last season- someone new to the team or who hasn't participated in the last year!

2. We have reduced the price for swimmers in the Senior group to $75 (except graduating seniors who are $25). We will also have a Gator Zone at home meets only for swimmers in the Senior group. This is a special seating area where we will have snacks and drinks set aside just for Senior swimmers. In addition we will raffle off a gift card for a senior swimmer at each swim meet. You must be swimming in the meet to win a gift card.

3. Lastly Avalon is going to give the Gators the first opportunity to try out our new slide. This will happen one afternoon during the first week of swim team practice. Join the team and be the first to try out the new slide!!

We have some excited social events planned for everyone this summer and more information about those will be coming out shortly. Spirit Wear information will be emailed out as well and available to order at the Open house on May 7th from 2-4 PM.
