Meet 1 TC @ ARA Sunday June 11th
Happy Weekend Gators!
Our first meet is this Sunday, June 11th at home against Three Chopt. The meet will start at 3:00pm. Please arrive no later than 2:00pm, warms will begin at 2:15. Mites will warm up from 2:15-2:20, Midgets and older will warm up from 2:20-2:30.
When you arrive:
Please check in all swimmers. This is important for us to know who is here. Angie Fischi and Jamie Frieden are our mite moms who will be checking in our 8 and unders, and will be helping them get to and through the clerk of course for every event. Stacy Dudley and Page Brookshier will be checking in midgets and older.
Events will be posted around the pool, please double check the events posted against the events that are attached to this email. Please note the stroke and event # of each event your swimmer is swimming. It is imperative that parents and swimmers listen to the events that are being announced- we don’t want anyone to miss an event because they missed the announcement.
Please check in with a coach if you leave before the end of the meet on Sunday. We might need alternates for relays.
Please check to see what your gator buddy’s events are and cheer them on throughout the meet!
Kim Zincone will have caps for sale and Jenifer Cryer will have t shirts for pick up prior to the start of the meet. Please make sure that every swimmer has an Avalon cap- and please avoid wearing caps from different teams. Many thanks.
We will be collecting nonperishable items for Dunk Hunger. All proceeds will go to Feed More and the Central VA Food Bank.
Please let me know ASAP if your RSVP for this meet has changed. Sometimes things happen unexpectedly, but please try to get that information to us quickly.
Bring plenty of water to stay hydrated, it’s going to be a hot one!!!
