Meet #3 GP @ ARA
Good Afternoon Gators!
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! Tomorrow we will host our 3rd meet of the season vs. Ginter Park.
Here is some information for tomorrow night:
1. Warmups for the Gators are 5:45-6:00. Mites will warm up 5:45-5:50; Midgets and up will warm up 5:50-6:00.
2. The Meet will kick off at 6:30 with the ever popular Parents Relay! Everyone get excited to watch our parents race it out in the pool in the 200 Freelay!
3. The meet theme is “shades” so bring your sunnies!
4. Please make sure all swimmers- not just mites- check-in with our volunteers working swimmer check-in at the beginning of the meet. It’s important for us to know who is here and if we are missing anyone.
5. Please make sure you and your swimmers are listening to the announcer for what events are being called to the clerk and what event is in the water.
6. Please come talk to a coach before you leave if you are leaving before the end of the meet. We might need alternates for relays!
7. The novice events for the week are Free and Fly. The relays are all Freestyle. The coaches have been working really hard with all swimmers during practice on butterfly. For those who are not swimming it this week, we will continue to work on it throughout the season- our goal is for everyone to be legal in all four strokes by the end of the season and we will do everything we can to make that happen.
8. Meet entries are attached to this email. If your swimmer is on the entry list and will not be at the meet, please email me ASAP. Likewise if they are not on the list and will be there, please let me know ASAP.
It’s hard to believe we are reaching the halfway point of the season! Thank you all so much for an enjoyable first half. Myself and the other coaches are looking forward to what the second half of the season holds for the Gators!
