The Gators take Fourth at Champs!

    Good Evening Gators!

I hope this final recap email of the season finds you well rested after yesterday’s marathon of amazing swims! I have spent the day trying to move as little as possible, while pouring over the results over and over again. Everytime I go through it, I find another amazing swim by one of our Gators. I have to say I was shocked that we were in fourth going into the second session, and even more shocked that we held everyone off to the end- and Mary Nelson has the picture of us when they announced it to prove it! The coaches and I could not be more proud of our swimmers- this was a perfect way to end our undefeated season. You showed up to race, and race you did! But not only that, it made it even better to see you guys all smiles when you came to talk to us after your races.

The coaches got to accept not one, but TWO trophies on behalf of the Gators yesterday. One was for winning the Red Division for the Regular Season with our undefeated season, and the second was for our Fourth place finish at Champs yesterday. I was excited to drop off some more hardware to add to our trophy case today. Fun Fact: Avalon has not won a Division since 2002- 15 long years! Way to go Gators!

I have written up a brief recap of the meet below, and attached the full results. Please visit the JRAC website (jracsummerswim.org) for more information, the full list of team scores, etc.
