2021 Avalon Summer Swim

    Hello Avalon Gator Families!!

    Summer is right around the corner, and the team at Avalon is planning for another exciting swim season. Carrie, Grace and I are excited to be your new parent representatives for this summer. While the direction of our season is somewhat uncertain, JRAC is moving forward with plans for a season that is as normal as possible. We will have more direction and information at the end of this month, but for now, we are excited to announce the proposed dates for our swim meets this summer. Team pairings for these dates will be announced later this month.

    2021 Summer Swim Meet Dates:

    June 13

    June 21

    June 28

    July 6

    July 12

    July 19

    Champs July 29 & 30 (at NOVA)

    The meet on June 13th will be held on a Sunday, and the meet on July 6th will be held on a Tuesday in observance of the July 4th weekend. The rest of the meets will take place on Monday evenings.

    Registration will open on April 15th.

    Practice begins on Monday, May 24th. Practice schedules will be announced soon.

    Avalon will hold an open house on Sunday, May 2nd from 2 - 4 p.m. Team suits will be available for fittings and purchase at the open house. The professionals from the Virginia Swim Shop will be there to assist us with all of our swim gear. Team suits can also be purchased online via our webstore once registration opens up. We will also be offering personalized caps this year. Orders for these caps will also be taken at the open house. The orders for personalized caps will be due in early May.

    We are looking forward to a FUN summer swim season. We can’t wait to see you and continue to hope for a “normal” swim season.Thank you for your patience and willingness to adapt as we wait for more information regarding this season.
