Good Evening Gators,

Thank you all for your patience with us in getting our Champs entries together. The time has finally come! 

We are proud to be sending 83 Gators in 288 events to represent Avalon at Champs in just a few short days. 

Just a reminder about our process:

Per league rules, we are limited to 2 swimmers per speed category, per event. The number of kids we have qualified (especially in the mites and midgets age groups) makes it very difficult for us to get everyone into the meet, but we try our best. I guess that's the price you pay for having fast kids in this league! We try to strike a balance between not just choosing the top 2 so we give more kids a chance to swim, and looking at league rankings to see where we can score points and who is ranked well within their category- because after all this is the last meet/competition of the season and we want to finish strong! We take into consideration our swimmers practice attendance, work ethic, and performance throughout the season.

Mites and Midgets: Please take a look at the attached "Champs Alternates" document. Here is where we have listed alternates for each events, should someone back out. If you are listed as an alternate, but don't have individual events, you will practice with the team until it is time for Champs. We will let you know as soon as possible if you are needed to fill in. Some alternates are swimmers who are already in the meet, but are not maxed out in events. 

If there are any issues or changes that need to be made, please email me by 8:00 am tomorrow morning Friday July 20th. Our entry file is due to the league at 10:00 am tomorrow, so I would like to make our changes before then. After the league meeting tomorrow night to seed the event, I CANNOT make any changes/add-ins. Only scratches and replacements, so its important to know sooner rather than later.

Thank you all again for this season, it has been an absolute pleasure leading this team through another great season. I'm so proud of every single one of our swimmers and the progress, dedication, and spirit they have put into this season. I hope to see you all on Sunday at the Banquet.
