Hello Gators!

It was great to see everyone (old and new) who came out for the Open House on Sunday. Thank you for coming out, and thank you to everyone who registered there and has registered online already. It's crazy to think that in just 2 week we will be back on the pool deck getting the 2018 season started! 

Myself, Coach Sean, Coach Cristina, and Coach Willow are excited to welcome everyone back for the summer season. Here are a few changes and reminders for the beginning of the season:

Practice Schedule: A few changes have been made to the practice schedule

-Mini Mites for the preseason and regular season will now be going Tuesday-Friday 

-Morning practice times for the regular season have been changed, as well as Mites and Midgets will be practicing at the same time. 

Mites/Midgets 8:30-9:30

Jun/Int/Sen 9:30-10:45

-There will be no Tuesday morning practices; skittles practice will stay the same in the afternoons.

- Introducing Flip turn Fridays! Come enjoy some delicious pancakes with your teammates at the end of Friday morning practices.

-Full practice schedule is up on the team website

Meet Requirements:

New this year is a meet attendance requirement for all swimmers participating on the swim team. Swimmers are required to participate in at least 3 meets of the 6 total meets of the season. How you choose those 3 is your choice. While this is the minimum requirement, the coaches and I strongly encourage all swimmers to participate in as many meets as possible. Mini mites will participating in the last 2 meets of the season, both of which are home meets. 

JRAC Waiver and Meet Sign Up:

Every swimmer that participates in a JRAC meet needs to complete the JRAC Waiver. The waiver can be found on the league's website- jracsummerswim.org. The waiver needs to be filled out before the swimmer can participate in a meet. We also ask that you complete your meet RSVPs as soon as possible. This is equally important for the coaches as it is for the volunteer coordinators. 

All of this and more will be explained in greater detail at the Parents Meeting.  Tentatively, the meeting will be on Wednesday May 30th at 7:00 pm under the pavilion. I will let you all know when the time and place is confirmed. I recognize that this time might not be convenient for everyone. During days that we have bad weather, etc I will be available during practices to answer any questions and go over any information from the parents meeting. In the meantime, if you have any immediate concerns or questions please do not hesitate to email me.
