We are getting ready for the 2018 summer swim season!

Swim Team registration will open up online on Monday, 4/16, at 8:00 AM. You must sign up for your volunteer slots to have your swimmer(s) fully registered. Once you are registered online, you still need to complete the online JRAC waiver (www.jracsummerswim.org) for each swimmer.

*If you have a Mini Mite (pre-team) or swimmer who will also do Dive team, you will complete paper registration for those options at the Open House or when the new season starts on 5/21. 

We have a few changes to the Mini Mites program for the 2018 season. 

In an effort to provide a smooth transition from Mini Mites to swim team for all of our swimmers, there have been a few changes made to the requirements for Mini Mites. We want to make sure all of our Mini Mites are ready and prepared when the time comes to move up the Mites. Swimmers will need to be at least 4 years old, who are comfortable and safe in the water. Swimmers will need to be able to complete 1 WIDTH of the pool using freestyle with minimal to no assistance. Swimmers will be evaluated the first week of practice, and it is at the discretion of the coaches whether Mini Mites is the appropriate placement for each swimmer. As Mini Mites is the bridge to the regular swim team, Mini Mites will be participating in the last meet of the season (a home meet). 

If a swimmer is not ready for Mini Mites, Avalon offers some great options for private and group lessons for swim instruction.
